EJ has an immediate opening for Weekend 3rd Shift (Friday night-Sunday night 6:00pm-6:30am) Industrial Maintenance. EJ is the leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of access solutions for water, sewer, drainage, telecommunications, and utility networks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Fork Truck Driver's License, Industrial vehicle/equipment license where applicable
  • Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell.
  • Frequently required to walk.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Requires the ability to successfully pass the respirator testing protocol and wear a respirator as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement regarding a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the safety expectations of the organization.
  • Optimize and/or repair equipment.
  • Uses power and/or hand tools per work instruction database and associated information systems.
  • May drive industrial equipment to move materials.
  • Uses computer to obtain and/or input information.
  • May be assigned to jobs in other departments.
  • May aid in training of others.
  • Provides suggestion for improvement of all our systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Reads and understands diagrams/prints.
  • Must meet physical demands as stated below.
  • May be required to work overtime.
  • May be required to work holidays.
