About The Position

We are Techmer PM — the world’s foremost materials design firm, creating custom polymers that make up essential products. Through our long-standing partnerships with processors, original equipment manufacturers, and product designers, we’ve worked for decades to tackle manufacturing and business challenges through sustainable, future-minded solutions. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Clinton, Tennessee facility. This position will be on 2nd shift which is 3:00PM-11:30PM, Monday-Friday. Starting rate for this position $25.00 and up, depending upon experience.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school or GED equivalency.
  • Five years of maintenance experience is required.
  • Must be able to lift 55 pounds.
  • Must have industrial electrical knowledge - (480 volt, low volt, control circuit experience).
  • Can properly use power and hand-tools.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to thoroughly troubleshoot machine breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to learn the functionality of plant equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Knowledge in electrical, wiring and plumbing

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school or apprenticeship in a skilled trade is preferred.
  • Welding/fabrication knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties as necessary to provide world class equipment reliability in a safe and cost-effective way.
  • Perform preventative maintenance daily to ensure that equipment is safe and up to date.
