About The Position

Now hiring experienced Industrial/Machine Maintenance Technicians (with their own metric tools) for BOTH DAY AND NIGHT SHIFTS to work at a fast moving Cable manufacturing company in Milton, FL. We provide integral components for solar and wind farm development as well as electrical cabling for key industrial markets including the Oil & Gas, Communications and Irrigation markets. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Proven experience as a machine maintenance technician or in a similar role (typically 2+ years).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, CNC machines, and industrial automation.
  • Ability to work with power tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair tools.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in maintenance.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Comfortable working in physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods of time.
  • MUST have your own METRIC TOOLS
  • Must have Steel-toed boots.
  • Must have RELIABLE transportation to Milton FL.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must complete a pre-employment (level-1) background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification in Machine Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Routine Inspections AND Maintenance-
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machinery to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they lead to failures.
  • Lubricate, clean, and calibrate machines as required to maintain proper functioning.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair-
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in machinery.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts, components, and systems.
  • Work with electrical circuits, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to perform repairs.
  • Machine Installation & Setup-
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery or systems.
  • Set up and adjust machinery for specific production requirements, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Record Keeping & Documentation-
  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and keep records of inspections and repairs.
  • Safety & Compliance-
  • Follow all safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Comply with environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.
  • Collaboration & Communication-
  • Work closely with operators and production staff to understand machine issues and prevent potential downtime.
  • Provide training and guidance to machine operators on proper equipment handling and maintenance practices.
  • Continuous Improvement-
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in machine performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
  • Work with management to implement solutions to optimize machine operations.
