Industrial Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Join Amcor as an Electrical Mechanical Technician and play a key role in producing high-quality packaging that makes a global impact. You’ll ensure safety, quality standards, and contribute to a team focused on collaboration and continuous improvement. This role involves performing troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on electrical and control systems, installing, modifying, and maintaining motors, drives, PLCs, and related equipment. You will also support preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime, ensure compliance with safety, EHS, and operational standards, and collaborate with production teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively. Documentation of work performed and maintenance of accurate records is also a key part of this role, along with proactively identifying improvement opportunities for equipment reliability and efficiency.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an electrical technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and maintenance systems
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work safely with high-voltage systems and equipment
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment
- Stand for long periods (steel-toed shoes required)
- Perform climbing, crouching, and reaching
