About The Position

Travis Body & Trailers, Inc is actively seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician for a permanent, full-time position. We are conveniently located in NW Houston near the intersection of Highway 6 and FM 529. We are looking for a 'can-do' attitude with great mechanical inclination. Looking to start immediately!! This is a lean manufacturing environment where all employees have a broad range of responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Must have experience in repair with hydraulic ironworkers, brake presses, plasma cutters, cranes, welders (Lincoln & Miller) and lift trucks
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Must be able to use precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers
  • Knowledge of all OSHA Standards
  • Must be able to identify components from parts breakdowns
  • Must be able to troubleshoot power transmission components, bearings, belts, cams, etc.
  • Must be able to read and understand schematics and do basic calculations to specify components
  • Ability to use electrical troubleshooting tools to include a multimeter, amp meter, etc.
  • Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems and components
  • Ability to work well with others is a must
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Must have valid/unexpired TX DL and clean MVR

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience preferred, but not required
  • CNC Plasma experience preferred, but not required
  • Troubleshoot robotic systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred, but not required
