About The Position

The Fremont Company is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our second-shift team at our Rockford, Ohio facility. As part of the team behind a variety of ketchup, BBQ sauce, and other tomato-based products, you will play an important role in keeping our production equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. We are looking for a hands-on, dependable technician who enjoys troubleshooting problems, completing repairs, and helping keep a fast-paced food manufacturing facility running smoothly.

Requirements

Previous industrial maintenance experience required
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs
Strong communication, attendance, and dependability
Willingness to work second shift and additional hours when needed
Ability to safely lift, bend, climb, stand, and work around industrial equipment
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and packaging equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production needs
Replace or repair motors, bearings, belts, chains, sensors, and other components
Complete welding, fabrication, and basic machining work as needed
Document completed repairs and preventive maintenance activities
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and improvement projects
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all safety, food safety, GMP, and company procedures
Work closely with production employees and supervisors to reduce downtime
