Requirements

  • Proven experience in equipment troubleshooting and facility repair and maintenance.
  • Understand, troubleshoot, and repair machine electrical components, including PLCs, VFDs, motors, electrical wiring, and mechanical components.
  • Understand, troubleshoot, and repair machine mechanical components, including chain and belt drives, bearings, seals and gaskets, and various mechanical components.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance planning and implementation.
  • Strong computer skills and excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to be proactive and prioritize maintenance requests effectively.
  • Ability to keep a detailed, daily work log of all tasks performed.
  • Ability to push/lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, or crouching.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or certified technical training.
  • Experience developing a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical failures on fabrication equipment and production lines to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and repair forklifts, scissor lifts, and sky tracks.
  • Execute and enhance our preventative maintenance program.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and work area in compliance with 5S and OSHA safety standards.
  • Perform minor building repairs, such as basic carpentry, patch-and-paint, overhead door adjustments, etc.
  • Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers and lighted emergency exit signs.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for specialized third-party contractors (e.g., HVAC, heavy electrical, commercial plumbing).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
