About The Position

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is a Fortune 500 company and an ideas and solutions provider in the corrugated packaging and paper industries. This specific role is for a Maintenance Technician at the PCA Box Plant located in Reading, PA. The position involves performing various maintenance tasks on plant equipment, including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Technicians collaborate within a team to safely conduct Preventive Maintenance Activities and respond to equipment breakdowns in a production environment. All Maintenance Technician positions are multicraft, with training provided to develop necessary skills.

Requirements

2+ Years’ experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
Be Authorized to work in the US.
Must be able to work 2nd and 3rd Shift

Nice To Haves

A Technical Degree in the Mechanical or Electrical Trades is a plus.
Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
Work as part of a team to safely perform Preventive Maintenance Activities.
Answer break down calls in a Production Environment.

Starting salary for position: $28+ per hour.
Annual Bonus – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
