About The Position
As an Electro Mechanical Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a variety of electrical and mechanical systems, including conveyor belts, packaging machinery, and food processing and bakery equipment. You will work closely with our production team to minimize downtime and ensure that our equipment meets the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Our Electro-Mechanical Tech roles range from $27.00 to $44.80 per hour plus additional pay for weekends and holidays. $5.00 per hour shift premiums for 2 nd shift and 3 rd shift schedules. When you’ll work… We are currently hiring experienced Electro-Mechanical Technicians on the following shifts: · 2 nd Shift: 2pm to 11pm · 3 rd Shift: 10pm to 7am · Our maintenance team members work every other weekend and enjoy a 5-day workweek by scheduling days off on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Overtime opportunities are also available for those who want to earn more.
Requirements
- Proven ability to operate safely by following all food and people guidelines.
- Utilizing knowledge from your 5+ years’ experience with mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, and electrical repair to facilitate seamless production functionality to deliver daily production goals.
- Organized and methodical approach to problem solving – often in a time-sensitive, tight-deadline situation where accuracy is critical.
- Designated lifelong learner with a strong interest in mastering new mechanical technologies.
- Team player with excellent communication skills ready to work hard to ensure the whole Palermo’s team succeeds.
Responsibilities
- Support our production teams by maintaining and repairing all production lines, troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment.
- Install, repair, rebuild and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production, packaging, and all other plant areas.
- Be involved in all aspects of equipment from installation to rebuilding, fitting, and aligning equipment to meet quality and efficiency standards.
- Demonstrate strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills on controls such as, PLC’s, VFD’s, servos, robotics, and programmable devices.
