About The Position

Metko is seeking a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their 2nd shift team in New Holstein. This is a hands-on role focused on keeping CNC manufacturing equipment, plant systems, and facility needs operational across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic disciplines. The position offers opportunities for experienced technicians to utilize their knowledge and for developing technicians to build their skills. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with temporary first shift training required upon employment.

Requirements

  • Hands-on mechanical ability and an interest in understanding how equipment works.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems gained through work experience, formal education, or both.
  • A methodical approach to troubleshooting and careful attention to detail.
  • Initiative to recognize problems and follow repairs through to completion.
  • Clear communication with coworkers, supervisors, and occasionally equipment manufacturers or suppliers.
  • Dependability, integrity, and sound judgment about when to work independently and when to ask for support.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous industrial and facility maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Related repair work or technical training.

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Responding to equipment breakdowns during production and completing scheduled repairs.
  • Installing, maintaining, and adjusting production machinery and related equipment.
  • Reading equipment manuals and work orders to diagnose problems, repair or replace parts, and verify proper operation.
  • Performing basic machining work as needed to support repairs.
  • Handling facility maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work within your training and qualifications.
  • Using hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material-handling equipment.
  • Communicating equipment concerns, repair needs, and unusual operating conditions to the appropriate team members.
  • Following safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and maintaining an orderly work area.
