About The Position
The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs the necessary duties for machine maintenance and troubleshooting electrical systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years experience in electrical maintenance/installation.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or GED with technical or trade courses required.
- Knowledge of State and Local electrical codes.
- Complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use hand and shop tools.
- Proven mechanical, hydraulic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Mechanical experience in either manufacturing or related areas.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality, required.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems a plus.
- Steam boiler operation experience, desirable.
Responsibilities
- Follow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and procedures and immediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries.
- Participate in developing and updating risk assessments and review all applicable risk assessments annually.
- Install fixtures, motors, and other electrical equipment as necessary.
- Troubleshoot machine controls, motors, equipment, and associated wiring.
- Repair lighting and power circuitry, and associated equipment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Inventory and order electrical material for shop stock.
- Order proper materials for job completion.
- Tag out and lockout procedures.
- Complete required records for work performed.
- Perform planned maintenance inspections, as required.
- Maintain equipment to ensure maximum reliability.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and repair all process and plant equipment, as necessary.
