About The Position

Mister Car Wash is a rapidly growing company in the car care industry, seeking skilled technicians to maintain their cutting-edge equipment. As a Maintenance Technician I, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of car wash sites. This role offers opportunities for skill development, ownership of work, and contributing to a positive customer experience. The schedule involves working Sunday through Thursday with rotational start times. This is a hands-on role where you will apply your expertise in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, and pneumatic systems to perform installations, preventative maintenance, and repairs on industrial car wash equipment. You will diagnose and repair electrical systems, travel to various locations in a company vehicle to address scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs, minimize downtime, and collaborate with regional teams on new installations and technology rollouts. Building strong relationships with teammates and taking pride in maintaining operational sites are key aspects of this position. The role also offers travel opportunities for exposure to new equipment and technologies, accelerating professional growth.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial or production maintenance (breakdown experience preferred)
  • Electrical experience, including exposure to: 3-phase high-voltage systems, Low-voltage systems, AC/DC electrical systems, Control wiring and powered equipment
  • VFD and PLC troubleshooting (preferred)
  • Solid skills in at least four of the following areas: Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Welding, Pneumatics, Plumbing
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and respond quickly in fast-paced environments
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and on-call hours
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Physical capability to perform the job (lift up to 75 lbs., bend, crawl, and climb ladders)
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required upon hire)

Responsibilities

  • Apply electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, pneumatic, and troubleshooting skills to keep equipment performing at its best.
  • Perform installation, preventative maintenance, and repairs on industrial car wash equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair low- and high-voltage electrical systems, including control wiring and 3-phase power.
  • Travel across your market, in your company provided vehicle, to complete scheduled maintenance and respond to urgent repairs.
  • Minimize downtime by responding quickly to breakdowns and equipment failures.
  • Partner with regional teams on new equipment installations and technology rollouts.
  • Build strong relationships with teammates who count on your technical expertise.
