Industrial Maintenance Technicians at Flowers Foods are responsible for ensuring optimal efficiency by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, prioritizing safety and quality standards. This role requires a technical mindset, strong mechanical capabilities, and flexibility, as technicians will rotate job assignments across various areas of the bakery. Technicians must also have the aptitude and drive for continuous training due to evolving technological improvements and performance standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess a technical mindset and demonstrate strong mechanical capabilities
  • Be flexible and adaptable, required to rotate job assignments throughout various areas of the bakery
  • Have the aptitude and drive to seek and acquire on-going training due to ever evolving technological improvements and performance standards
  • Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field
  • Technical/Trade School certification or diploma

Responsibilities

  • Learn and demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, and general shop practices
  • Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment
  • Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
  • Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
  • Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment
