About The Position

Wisconsin Converting is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment in our Green Bay manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience working with industrial machinery, including bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, rollers, and other mechanical systems. The Industrial Maintenance Technician plays an important role in keeping equipment running safely and reliably through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, fabrication, and continuous improvement. This position also performs light machine electrical work and assists with equipment installation and facility maintenance.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including bearings, belts, chains, gears, gearboxes, rollers, and alignment.
  • Ability to understand and follow equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and equipment documentation.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
  • Basic computer skills for entering and maintaining maintenance records.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance or industrial mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Machining and fabrication experience preferred.
  • Experience with paper converting, flexographic printing, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems and equipment breakdowns involving bearings, belts, chains, gears, alignment, and other mechanical systems.
  • Maintain and repair production equipment in accordance with established procedures and equipment requirements.
  • Replace and repair bearings, gearboxes, rollers, belts, chains, and other machine components as needed.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
  • Identify equipment issues and complete necessary repairs to support safe and reliable operation.
  • Assist with the installation, relocation, and modification of production equipment.
  • Perform machining, fabrication, welding, and other mechanical work as required.
  • Perform light machine electrical work, including 24V up to 480V.
  • Learn machine setup processes to develop a stronger understanding of production equipment.
  • Maintain necessary tools, parts, supplies, and maintenance work areas.
  • Accurately document maintenance, repairs, inspections, and other work performed.
  • Perform general facility and building maintenance as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to equipment reliability, safety, and production uptime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
  • Follow all applicable company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and equipment operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
