About The Position

The Maintenance Technician participates in activities concerned with the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery in manufacturing so that throughput, inventory, and operating expense objectives are achieved. Inspects and repairs machinery and equipment based on operating parameters, according to engineering principles and safety regulations.

Requirements

Experience as a Maintenance Technician
Ability to read and comprehend Electrical schematics
Ability to test newly installed or refurbished equipment
Ability to respond to maintenance issues immediately
Ability to perform preventive maintenance
Ability to maintain and monitor inventory of maintenance equipment and parts
Ability to install and maintain program modifications for all machines
Ability to coordinate with the Maintenance Manager
Ability to complete purchase order requisitions
Necessary overtime and shift flexibility

Nice To Haves

Education can be substituted with equivalent experience.
Licenses & Certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Analyzes mechanical, electrical, and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action to maintain maximum production and quality.
Reading and comprehension of Electrical schematics.
Tests newly installed or refurbished equipment to ensure fulfillment to specification and safety.
Immediately respond to maintenance issues when production has stopped due to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic problems.
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime.
Maintain and monitor inventory of maintenance equipment and parts. Order new parts as necessary.
Install and maintain program modifications for all machines.
Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager for the installation and removal of equipment.
Complete purchase order requisitions for all purchased goods, equipment, or services.
