About The Position

Lifetime Products, Inc., is seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join our team in a new state of the art facility with all new equipment in Mascot (Knoxville) Tennessee. The Industrial Maintenance Technician's will be performing highly diversified duties in a wide variety of machine maintenance functions such as; installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe and electrical systems. Experience should include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatics. Applicants must have excellent trouble shooting skills. Must be dependable, self-starter, highly motivated, proactive, and organized with the ability to multi task, take direction, and stay calm in a high stress environment. Schedules will be swing and grave shift. Some Saturdays and overtime will be required based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Must be dependable, self-starter, highly motivated, proactive, and organized with the ability to multi task, take direction, and stay calm in a high stress environment.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatics.
  • Great communicator with a positive attitude and a great degree of common sense.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and experience with the setup, operation, and trouble shooting of automated production machinery.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as routine reports and correspondence, safety rules, procedure manuals, and general business documents.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral, or diagram form, and ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
  • Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping and working knowledge of Microsoft office which include Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with plastics blow molding experience is a plus.
  • Will be required to become forklift certified.

Responsibilities

  • Make sound repair decisions following the established best practices of the department, with regard to maintaining equipment function, operation, and safety.
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Inspects machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
  • Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.
  • Inspects parts to detect wear or other problems.
  • Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of system.
  • Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe.
  • Operates machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
  • Repairs broken parts.
  • Assists Mechanical Engineer to modify drawings or designs.
  • Troubleshoot and understand electrical circuits, schematics, and prints
  • Stays calm and methodical in high stress situations.
