About The Position

Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Torch Operation and Assembly and Disassembly. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining and improving PM's to ensure the highest level of equipment uptime, serving internal customers expediently, informing the Management Team of potential high equipment repair expenses, and assisting other team members when needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel and Word
  • Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems
  • Strong mechanical knowledge in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Torch Operation and Assembly and Disassembly
  • Proven ability to work independently in a high-trust environment
  • Basic electrical, controls and PLC knowledge
  • Knowledge of lubricants
  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance practices and procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to envision, suggest and implement solutions to issues
  • Must be organized, neat and professional
  • Must be able to work individually and as part of a team
  • Desire to learn and grow

Nice To Haves

  • Machinery repair journeyman status preferred
  • Previous off-shift experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
  • Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Maintain and Improve PM’s that assures the highest level of equipment uptime
  • Serve Internal Customers expediently
  • Inform Management Team of potential high equipment repair expenses
  • Assist other team members when needed
