About The Position

Stratas Foods is seeking qualified candidates for an Industrial Maintenance Technician role. This position requires a dependable individual capable of performing a variety of tasks, working any shift, including overtime and weekends as required. The role involves general housekeeping, cleanup, painting, lubrication, power washing, lifting and hauling items, operating a forklift, and performing other miscellaneous duties. The primary objective is to keep production lines running efficiently by performing preventative maintenance, completing work orders, and making necessary mechanical repairs.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Basic computer knowledge - data entry
Ability to get along well with other people
Ability to operate and understand packaging equipment and processes
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to operate forklift truck, scissors lift and zoom boom, and sky trac
Basic mechanical skills
Ability to rewire electrical components throughout plant (strong industrial electrical background)
Ability to connect lap top to equipment to troubleshoot machine
Ability to wear respirator (SCBA and/or cartridge type) (physical may be required)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb stairs
Ability to bend, kneel, stand for extended periods
Ability to work in confined spaces
Ability to work at heights
Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.)
Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization.
