About The Position

Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience, producing approximately 30 billion envelopes annually. We are committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence. We are hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our Smyrna, GA manufacturing facility for 1st shift (7am -- 3pm). Flexibility is required based on operational needs and availability. Under minimal supervision, this role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and rebuild work on all plant equipment, including high-speed envelope production and ancillary equipment, while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. The technician utilizes advanced mechanical expertise to diagnose complex issues, execute equipment rebuilds, and support the continuous operation of manufacturing systems. Support for equipment improvements is also part of the role. Electrical and PLC experience is a plus.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of hands on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience maintaining high speed production equipment and performing preventive maintenance
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety, quality, and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation
  • Reliable, self directed, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work overtime and alternate shifts as required

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or vocational training preferred
  • Printing, envelope, or paper converting experience preferred
  • PLC troubleshooting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to install, maintain, and repair plant equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist production personnel with diagnostics and repairs
  • Operate machine shop equipment, including mills, lathes, drill presses, welding, and cutting tools
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues and perform necessary repairs or installations
  • Monitor, schedule, and document preventive maintenance activities to ensure reliable equipment operation
  • Research, source, and requisition replacement parts and materials as needed
  • Perform required facility and equipment safety inspections/maintenance as required
  • Follow safety procedures and complete required documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs
