About The Position

Techmer PM is a materials design firm specializing in custom polymers. The company partners with processors, original equipment manufacturers, and product designers to address manufacturing and business challenges with sustainable solutions. Techmer PM is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Clinton, Tennessee facility. This position operates on a 2nd shift, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure world-class equipment reliability in a safe and cost-effective manner, performing daily preventative maintenance to keep equipment safe and up to date.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school or GED equivalency
  • Five years of maintenance experience is required
  • Ability to learn the functionality of plant equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Knowledge in electrical, wiring and plumbing
  • Must be able to lift 55 pounds
  • Must have industrial electrical knowledge - (480 volt, low volt, control circuit experience)
  • Can properly use power and hand-tools
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must be able to thoroughly troubleshoot machine breakdowns and implement corrective actions

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school or apprenticeship in a skilled trade is preferred
  • Welding/fabrication knowledge is preferred
