We are now seeking talented individuals to join our team for the following role: The Flake to Pellet Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and improvement of the NGR flake-to-pellet system, crane system, material-handling equipment, extrusion and pelletizing equipment, electrical controls, and related support systems. The position supports continuous plant operations by minimizing equipment downtime, completing preventive and predictive maintenance, and helping ensure equipment operates safely and in accordance with production, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and improvement of the NGR flake-to-pellet system, crane system, material-handling equipment, extrusion and pelletizing equipment, electrical controls, and related support systems.
Minimizing equipment downtime, completing preventive and predictive maintenance, and helping ensure equipment operates safely and in accordance with production, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, instrumentation, and process-control systems troubleshooting and repair.
Diagnosis of equipment failures and identification of root causes.
Inspection, repair, replacement, alignment, and adjustment of various equipment components.
Troubleshooting of PLC-controlled systems, sensors, variable frequency drives, control panels, and automated equipment.
Support of equipment start-up, shutdown, changeover, and commissioning activities.
Performance of lubrication, equipment inspections, and condition monitoring.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation.
Accurate and timely completion of work orders, inspection records, equipment history, parts usage, and downtime documentation.
Assistance with equipment modifications, reliability improvements, capital projects, and continuous-improvement activities.
Coordination with various departments, vendors, and contractors.
Maintenance of appropriate spare-parts levels.
Safe use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, lifting devices, welding equipment, and maintenance equipment.
Adherence to all safety requirements including Lockout/Tagout, electrical safety, arc-flash, confined-space, machine-guarding, fall-protection, hot-work, crane, and rigging.
Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area.
Prompt reporting of unsafe conditions, injuries, spills, equipment damage, quality concerns, and process deviations.
Participation in required training, safety meetings, shift handoffs, root-cause reviews, and continuous-improvement activities.
Compliance with all requirements relating to employee safety, product safety, product legality, environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on the flake-to-pellet system, extrusion and pelletizing equipment, feeders, conveyors, material-handling systems, crane systems, and related support equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, instrumentation, and process-control systems within the scope of training and authorization.
Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and complete timely repairs to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
Inspect, repair, replace, align, and adjust motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, pumps, valves, screens, filters, blowers, heaters, and related components.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, sensors, variable frequency drives, control panels, and automated equipment within the scope of training and authorization.
Support equipment start-up, shutdown, changeover, and commissioning activities in coordination with Operations and technical personnel.
Perform lubrication, equipment inspections, condition monitoring, and other preventive or predictive maintenance activities as assigned.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation.
Complete work orders, inspection records, equipment history, parts usage, downtime documentation, and other maintenance reports accurately and on time.
Assist with equipment modifications, reliability improvements, capital projects, and continuous-improvement activities.
Coordinate with Operations, the FTP Technical Lead, Quality, Engineering, vendors, and outside contractors as necessary to resolve equipment issues.
Maintain appropriate spare-parts levels and promptly communicate parts, tools, or service requirements to Maintenance leadership.
Safely use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, lifting devices, welding equipment, and maintenance equipment for which the employee is trained and authorized.
Follow all Lockout/Tagout, electrical safety, arc-flash, confined-space, machine-guarding, fall-protection, hot-work, crane, rigging, and other applicable safety requirements.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with housekeeping, sanitation, environmental, and safety expectations.
Report unsafe conditions, injuries, spills, equipment damage, quality concerns, and process deviations promptly to appropriate leadership.
Participate in required training, safety meetings, shift handoffs, root-cause reviews, and continuous-improvement activities.
Comply with all requirements relating to employee safety, product safety, product legality, environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
