Industrial Maintenance Technician - Night Shift
About The Position
Ultra-Poly Corporation is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the night shift to join their Maintenance Department in Portland, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of 480V troubleshooting and installation, be able to work both independently and in a team setting, and possess a self-starter mindset for this hands-on role.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with 480V 3-phase electrical
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial production machinery or other related machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the job
Nice To Haves
- Welding and Fabrication experience
- Rigging and heavy equipment experience
- Knowledge of pipe threading for air hydraulic and electrical piping
- Understand lockout procedures and ARC flash protection/dangers
- Able to use scissor lifts, boom/aerial lifts, and forklifts
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily and weekly preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial hydraulic and pneumatic machinery
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial equipment installations
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, and other electrical components
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
- May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices
- Repair, install, and adjust industrial extrusion machinery
- Able to work a 12-hour night shift
- Work a rotating schedule: 36 hours one week & 48 hours second week (schedule includes every other weekend)
- Be on-call if necessary
