About The Position

Arjobex America is a global leader in the manufacturing of synthetic paper, specifically Polyart, a specialized synthetic paper made from high-density polyethylene with a print-receptive coating. With over 50 years of experience, Arjobex partners with the print industry and operates manufacturing sites in Great Britain, France, and Charlotte, NC. The company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of its manufacturing processes. This role involves working with advanced electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. It is ideal for individuals who enjoy technical problem-solving and collaborative teamwork in a forward-thinking environment.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of industrial experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel).
Ability to read measurements in both standard and metric systems.
Industrial maintenance: 5 years (Required)
PLC/Drives: 3 years (Required)
460/480 3phase: 2 years (Required)
Control logic: 3 years (Required)

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in Industrial Electronics or technical certifications a plus.
Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair power distribution, PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and lighting systems.
Repair, overhaul, and test AC/DC electrical equipment.
Install and maintain circuits, switchgears, transformers, starters, controllers, and production equipment.
Read schematics, blueprints, manuals, and perform computer diagnostics.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in machines and building systems.
Modify, overhaul, or rebuild machine parts using tools and plant equipment.
Follow lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safe operations.
Start up new or repaired equipment and ensure optimal performance.
