About The Position
Curtis Machine Company is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment throughout our manufacturing facility. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have hands-on industrial maintenance experience and be able to diagnose equipment problems-not simply replace parts based on instructions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 120V, 240V, and 480V three-phase equipment
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to use meters, gauges, diagnostic tools, and standard maintenance equipment
- Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
- Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs, and follow through until equipment is operational
- Must provide specific examples of machinery personally diagnosed and repaired
- Valid driver's license and dependable attendance
Nice To Haves
- Experience maintaining CNC machine tools
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial controls
- Welding, machining, or fabrication experience
- Experience with preventive-maintenance programs
- Technical degree, industrial-maintenance certification, or applicable trade training
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Troubleshoot CNC machines, production equipment, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and related systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and document completed work
- Identify the root cause of equipment failures and recommend lasting repairs
- Read electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and mechanical drawings
- Replace bearings, belts, seals, switches, sensors, motors, and other components
- Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and startup
- Perform basic welding and fabrication when needed
- Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance parts and supplies
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and communicate repair status to production supervisors
- Follow lockout/tagout and all company safety procedures
- Maintain the facility and support general building repairs as necessary
