The Maintenance Technician II is an Electro-Mechanical position responsible for supporting manufacturing operations. This role involves adjusting and repairing equipment as needed, tracking the usage of and ordering replacement parts. The technician will diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems, perform detailed equipment setups including recipe changes and control adjustments, and maintain mechanical machine components in top operating condition. A strong understanding of electrical principles (voltage, current, resistance), electrical safety, motor control circuits, and programmable drives is required. The role also includes troubleshooting PLC inputs and outputs, completing projects for electrical circuits and controls, adding new equipment, and relocating machines. Maintenance of pneumatic systems, performing preventative maintenance tasks, entering work into a computer-based maintenance program, monitoring spare parts usage, and adjusting equipment based on Statistical Process Control data are also key responsibilities. Additionally, this position involves training Level I and II technicians in more complex tasks and skills.
