About The Position

Responsible for performing a variety of technical duties relating to mechanical, electrical, preventive maintenance and fabrication functions. The differences between classifications are the level of mastery of the essential functions, the degree of supervision required when performing these functions, and the amount of lead direction provided to others. Technician 1: Entry-level class. The Technician works under close supervision, performing the essential functions at a basic level.

Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Proficient

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots equipment issues in production environment.
  • Troubleshoot and or repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components.
  • Provides support in areas of fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, pipefitting, and machining.
  • Work from oral and written instructions.
  • Understand and comply with all parts ordering and issuing procedures.
  • Maintains adherence to company policy, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Diagnose simple equipment failures.
  • Performs simple repairs on equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Performs Basic fabrication, assembly, welding, cutting pipefitting and machining.
