The Maintenance Technician II is an Electro-Mechanical position responsible for supporting manufacturing operations. This role involves adjusting and repairing equipment as needed, tracking the usage of and ordering replacement parts. The technician will diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems, perform detailed setups on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments, and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition. An advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current, and resistance is required, along with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, and photo eyes. The role also requires an advanced understanding of electrical safety, motor control circuits, and programmable drives, as well as the ability to troubleshoot PLC inputs and outputs and repair issues. Responsibilities include completing projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment, and relocate machines. The technician will also maintain and repair pneumatic systems, perform mechanical Preventative Maintenance tasks, enter all work completed into a computer-based maintenance program, and monitor/report spare parts usage. Adjustments to equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and collaboration with QA are expected. Additionally, the role involves training Level I and II technicians in more complex tasks and skills, and performing other duties as assigned.
