About The Position

One Fine Family is seeking a 1st Shift Maintenance Supervisor for their Hanover, MD location. The Maintenance Supervisor is the primary technical expert for the production maintenance operations, focusing on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for all processing equipment systems. This role involves organizing and overseeing the maintenance of all plant production equipment to maximize uptime and resolve quality and production issues, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. The supervisor will also drive solutions to reduce equipment downtime, manage and report on Maintenance KPIs, oversee the procurement of parts and services while identifying cost savings, and champion technical issues to completion. Additionally, the role requires ensuring compliance with all company standards (sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, budget) and permits, and prioritizing work based on production needs. This is a hands-on leadership position.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a plant on industrial equipment.
  • At least 1 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance department with 3 or more employees.
  • Strong people and project management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems using critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, parts diagrams, and electrical schematic drawings.
  • Must be a "hands-on" leader.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, cold, wet, refrigerated plant environment.
  • Candidate must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Food manufacturing experience (USDA and SQF) preferred.
  • Experience with Lean and 5S programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate the maintenance of all plant production equipment to maximize equipment uptime and to resolve quality and production related issues with an emphasis on continuous improvement, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Improve the effectiveness of the maintenance function by driving solutions to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Supervise a crew of (4) four or more employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, and directing work, performance evaluation, recognition, and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Manage and report on Maintenance KPIs. Target actions to drive improvements in these areas.
  • Manage procurement of parts and services while identifying and implementing cost savings projects in these areas.
  • Proactively champion technical issues and see them through to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all required permits.
  • Seek out production needs and prioritize own work accordingly.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Assist in completing maintenance repair work.
