About The Position

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical plant, and in fabricating repair parts and tools.

Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to effectively convey information and collaborate with team members, management, and other departments.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
• Comprehensive understanding of maintenance processes, equipment, and best practices within an industrial setting.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of managing teams effectively.
• Proficiency in computer applications relevant to maintenance management and reporting.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software.
• Ability to analyze data and generate reports as needed.
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a union environment is considered a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Directs workers engaged in performing structural repairs to physical plant, and the repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery and equipment.
• Directs workers in the dismantling, assembly, and installation of industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Assists workers in the diagnosis and repair and calibration of machinery and production equipment.
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Provides specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
• Inspects completed work for conformance with blueprints, specifications, and standards.
• Reviews production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Initiates plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Ensures work orders and/or PM are completed correctly with accurate information and closed in a timely manner.
• Communicates company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
• Complies with all environmental, health, safety and housekeeping programs.
• Other duties, as assigned.
