Industrial Maintenance Supervisor
About The Position
Carrier in Residential furnace factory in Indianapolis seeks a high energy, data driven, result-oriented Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead the daily maintenance operations to ensure maximum equipment uptime, safety, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment. This role oversees skilled trades supporting stamping presses, automated conveyors, robotic systems, and PLC-controlled machinery, driving preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor must be working first shift and longer hours if required. This is an onsite role in Indianapolis.
Requirements
- Associate degree in engineering or industrial maintenance
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- 2+ years in a supervisory role
- Able and willing to work longer hours if required
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsoring available

- Experience with stamping presses, conveyors, robotics (Fanuc/ABB/KUKA), and PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Siemens)
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and automation controls
- Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance KPIs
- PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Robotics diagnostics and basic programming
- Experience in high-volume or automotive manufacturing
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma exposure
- Leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance technicians across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines
- Ensure uptime and reliability of stamping presses, conveyors, robotic cells, and PLC-driven equipment (e.g., screw machines)
- Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures, including PLC, servo, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of production equipment and automation systems
- Enforce safety standards, LOTO compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, and spare parts inventory i.e. CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Collaborate with production to minimize downtime and improve throughput
- Develop and mentor team members; ensure technical skill progression
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (root cause analysis, TPM, Lean, reliability improvements)
