Premier Candle Corporation is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance & Reliability Technician for its manufacturing operation in Hickory, Kentucky. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production. The technician will work hands-on with mechanical and electrical systems, employing a proactive approach to prevent failures and enhance equipment performance. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least five years of industrial maintenance or related experience.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment documentation.
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and industrial safety practices.
- Ability to work safely and independently with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain motors, bearings, shafts, conveyors, pumps, compressors, valves, piping, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot 120–480V industrial electrical equipment within applicable safety procedures and qualifications.
- Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, hydraulic diagrams, and pneumatic prints.
- Perform adjustments, alignments, component replacements, and repairs to support production reliability.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance to improve reliability and equipment life.
- Identify abnormal conditions before they cause failures or unplanned downtime.
- Investigate recurring failures, determine root causes, and implement lasting corrective actions.
- Improve inspection routines, maintenance procedures, and equipment standards.
- Document work orders, equipment histories, and maintenance activities accurately in a CMMS.
- Support automation initiatives, equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements.
- Assist in troubleshooting PLC-controlled and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve safety, quality, uptime, and productivity.
- Recommend practical improvements to equipment reliability and maintenance practices.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout, electrical safety, and other industrial safety requirements.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
- Communicate equipment conditions, completed repairs, and recommendations clearly.
- Share technical knowledge, support teammates, and demonstrate ownership and professionalism.
