About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician III (IMRT III) is an advanced maintenance position responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment to maximize reliability and minimize downtime. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems. The IMRT III will diagnose complex equipment issues, identify root causes, and work independently to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Significant industrial maintenance or military maintenance experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, electrical controls, motors, contactors, relays, and industrial motor-control systems.
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Hands-on experience performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Experience diagnosing equipment failures and performing root-cause troubleshooting.
  • Experience with industrial equipment such as chillers, pumps, compressors, motors, and related systems.
  • Experience using a CMMS to document maintenance activities and equipment history.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift.
  • Comfortable using mechanical lifts and ladders and performing work that requires kneeling, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple maintenance needs, and respond effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Available to work overtime and weekends when production or maintenance needs require it.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with blown film, sheet extrusion, flexographic printing, lamination, slitting, or ancillary flexible-packaging equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all plant safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and safe machine operation.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot motors, contactors, relays, and other electrical components using multimeters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, PLCs, industrial controls, and motor control systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment failures and determine the appropriate corrective action.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and facility equipment.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair chillers, process pumps, compressors, ink pumps, glue pumps, and related equipment.
  • Operate and work with shop equipment including bandsaws, mills, and lathes.
  • Perform equipment repairs and calibrations while minimizing production downtime.
  • Identify the root cause of recurring production equipment issues and implement effective repairs.
  • Ensure production and related equipment remains in safe and reliable operating condition.
  • Document completed repairs, parts used, equipment conditions, and maintenance activities within the CMMS.
  • Assist with maintaining appropriate spare-parts inventory and an organized parts room.
  • Participate in Global Performance System (GPS) activities, including 5Star, Pillar Teams, audits, Near Miss reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and respond to overtime or weekend needs as required.
  • Perform additional maintenance duties and projects as assigned.
