About The Position

Georgia-Pacific Madison, GA facility is now hiring immediately a qualified candidate who demonstrates strong ownership, reliability, and collaboration in a manufacturing environment to join our team as a Maintenance Millwright. We are offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus. For this role, we anticipate paying $30.00 – $36.00 per hour. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. Requirements

Experience troubleshooting conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pumps
Experience installing, aligning, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing industrial equipment
Experience with fabrication, welding, and cutting torch
Experience operating hoisting and lifting devices
Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, and gearboxes
Experience with precision alignment of motors and couplings
Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, and/or hydraulic schematics

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 2 years of mechanical and technical training
A minimum of 6 months experience working in a wood mill environment

Responsibilities

Maintain strict adherence to all safety, environmental, and PPE requirements while working in an industrial manufacturing environment
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment for improved reliability and uptime
Assist co-workers and work effectively in a team environment
Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the facility
Effectively communicate work performed and equipment status, both verbally and in writing
Help meet or exceed production waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
Read and understand work instructions
Conduct maintenance in accordance with scheduled maintenance requirements
Work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments
Demonstrate leadership skills; be a self-starter requiring little or no supervision and show the ability and willingness to train others
Perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stooping), with or without reasonable accommodation
