About The Position
Poly-America, L.P., a leading plastics manufacturer, is currently seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our Maintenance Department. Poly-America produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags, construction films, and agricultural films.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience in industrial maintenance mechanical work in a manufacturing environment.
- Aptitude and desire to work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work from verbal or written instructions with a strong desire to be hands-on with work and to follow policies and procedures.
- Aptitude and desire to be a good student of Poly-America processes, equipment, and procedures.
- Problem-solving skills including troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA lock out tag out regulations.
- Knowledge and practical use of basic mechanical tools.
- Successfully passing a drug screen is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and modification of new and existing industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Documenting, recommending, and executing maintenance procedures.
- Working in a manufacturing maintenance team.
- Maintaining equipment to OEM specifications, including all safety systems.
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, and replacing worn or failed parts.
- Installing mechanical upgrades and new or relocated equipment.
- Additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management.
