The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, replacing, and installing plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for all plant equipment. This includes machinery maintenance, lubrication, PMs, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, welding, fabricating, and possible installations. The role also involves performing lubrication and preventative maintenance on equipment such as corrugators, diecut/flexo folders, conveyors, stackers, and banders. The mechanic must be able to read and understand mechanical prints, AC/DC motors, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and installing mechanical components, AC/DC motors, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, bearings, and power transmission. Fabrication of equipment using welding (arc and gas) is also required. The mechanic will make adjustments to equipment to improve productivity, identify unusual sounds indicating potential trouble, and dismantle equipment to replace defective parts. Predictive maintenance data collection and PM planning are also key aspects of the role. This is a safety-sensitive position.
