Silgan Containers is hiring Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to join their manufacturing team in Sacramento, California. This role is responsible for maintaining the performance, reliability, and safety of high-speed metal can manufacturing lines and related production equipment. Requirements

Mechanically skilled professional
Experience troubleshooting machinery
Experience repairing industrial equipment
Experience working with industrial machinery, automotive equipment, farm equipment, or other mechanical systems

Responsibilities

Operate, service, maintain, overhaul, and monitor high-speed can manufacturing equipment and associated industrial machinery.
Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on production equipment during manufacturing operations.
Troubleshoot mechanical systems, identify equipment issues, and perform repairs or modifications to minimize downtime.
Complete preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections to improve machinery reliability and extend equipment life.
Inspect equipment, document findings, and address mechanical or operational issues according to established procedures.
Perform quality checks and use precision measuring instruments to maintain equipment tolerances as tight as 0.0010 inch, where required.
Support the production of high-quality, single-piece metal cans by maintaining equipment performance and production standards.
Collaborate with maintenance personnel, production operators, and management to improve equipment reliability, workplace safety, product quality, and productivity.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives designed to reduce downtime, control costs, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment.
