About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment. This role involves performing maintenance, set-up, and preventative maintenance (PM) on automation/production equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment-related processing issues, and utilizing a computer-based inventory system for locating spare parts. The mechanic will also perform daily duties using Maintenance Connection, assist maintenance and production staff as needed, and may assist in training other employees. The position requires performing quality work within set time standards, utilizing mandatory safety equipment, and executing duties in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety rules and regulations. Flexibility with the schedule is necessary, and the role is responsible for ensuring areas of responsibility are safe, clean, and tidy, while following all company rules and policies. Other related duties and assignments may be required.

Requirements

  • Analytical, problem solving, and strong technical skills including mechanical, electrical and PLC programming.
  • Strong skills in customer service, interpersonal, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, motivation, planning, organizing, professionalism, quality, quantity, safety, adaptability, attendance, punctuality, dependability, initiative, innovation.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 + years technician experience within Plastics industry.
  • Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively.

Responsibilities
