This facility operates six days a week and produces sausage crumbles and dry sausage. Leveling (pay) is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience. We are offering a $5000 sign on bonus for new hires. The bonus is paid out in $2500 following completion of 90 days and $2500 at completion of 180 days. Rehires are not eligible for sign on bonus. This position is a 6:00pm to 6:00am rotating schedule. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Applied mechanical ability documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Willing and able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
  • Willing and able to walk or stand on hard floors for 8-12 hour days
  • Regularly be required to stand, stoop, climb ladders, change work levels, twist, squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull, and move about the facility
  • 1 year industrial maintenance experience and/or industrial maintenance education combined
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment
  • Certain roles at Tyson require background checks

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets
  • Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
  • Perform duties such as welding, cutting, electrical repair and troubleshooting, removing, replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water pipes, valves, lines, and systems
  • Read & understand assignments
  • Communicate orally & in writing
  • Use basic knowledge of math
  • Use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment
  • Read drawings & schematics of hydraulic & basic electrical systems
  • Complete all required training for the job
