About The Position

Atlas Roofing Web Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for Franklin, OH. This role is responsible for installing, repairing, adjusting, modifying, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance on all types of plant equipment and facilities. The mechanic must adhere to all plant and safety rules, including PPE requirements. Responsibilities include inspecting, dismantling, repairing, replacing, installing, cleaning, and assembling equipment and buildings as needed. The role requires communication with maintenance supervision and engineering to analyze equipment issues and modifications, perform pipe installations and repairs, and interpret blueprints for equipment information and installation. The mechanic will also work with supervision to ensure adequate backup spares for mechanical equipment, utilize torches, welders, and burning equipment, and maintain daily shift inspection and repair logs. Minimal travel may be required for training. Any other responsibilities assigned by supervision are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment, in the Maintenance department
  • Must have sound organizational skills in order to process job related data and in relation to work area materials.
  • Ability to provide relevant and timely information in a clear manner.
  • Fulfills the requirements of the position as described. Ability to follow-through on completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner. Anticipates what needs to be done and proceeds without direction in a timely manner.
  • Ability to think through issues and develop solutions in a timely manner.
  • Willing to work with others and utilize group dynamic to form solutions.
  • Must be able to speak fluent English.
  • Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to calculate percentages and add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals.
  • Advanced reading ability – ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, government regulations. Ability to present information to and respond from questions from groups of managers, customers, employees or the general public.
  • Word – beginner level (memos, letters, formatting)
  • Must be able to use power tools and measuring equipment.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Take and pass Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test

Responsibilities

  • Installing, repairing, adjusting, modifying, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance on all types of plant equipment and facility.
  • Following all plant and safety rules including all safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Inspect, dismantle, repair, replace, install, clean and assemble as necessary to maintain equipment/buildings as necessary.
  • Communicate information to maintenance supervision and engineering to assist in analyzing equipment or for the purpose of making equipment modifications.
  • Perform pipe installations and repairs in various pipelines.
  • Interpret blue prints for equipment information and installation.
  • Works with maintenance supervisor to insure a sufficient level of back up spares for all mechanical equipment.
  • Utilize torches, welders and burning equipment.
  • Maintains daily shift inspection and repair logs for review by supervision, and other plant personnel.
  • Minimal travel requirements as needed for training, etc., as determined by Supervision.
  • Any and all other responsibilities as assigned by Supervision.
