Requirements

  • Successful completion of Ramsey mechanical maintenance test.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of heavy machinery maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of maintaining AC/DC motors, gearbox mechanics, lubrication principles, welding, cutting torch, NFPA 70E and common maintenance tools.
  • Intermediate knowledge of pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, stick and tig welding and rigging principles.
  • Team-oriented with communication skills required to work with supervisors, engineers, maintenance, and production operators.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift including days, nights, and two consecutive weekends a month. (Dupont 4/3 schedule)

Responsibilities

  • Keep our mills running and your coworkers safe.
  • Perform maintenance and repair operations necessary to keep the mill, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating conditions; working in the many and diversified capacities required in maintenance.
  • Dismantle, repair, lubricate, reassemble, as well as general maintenance in varied capacities.
  • Start, observe, and operate equipment to detect or verify the malfunction and see if it should be repaired or replaced.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance through inspecting, adjusting feed, speed power input and output, cleaning, and lubricating equipment.
  • Tear down, replace, repair, install, and assemble equipment, parts, components, and accessories.
  • Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, and/or improper operation of mill equipment or machinery.
