About The Position

Jostens has a great job opportunity for a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team of maintenance technicians in our state-of-the-art facility in Clarksville, TN. This position is ideal for a well-experienced industrial maintenance mechanic/technician. Areas of responsibility include maintenance and repair of Printing Presses such as Heidelberg, KBA, Komori, Kodak Inkjet presses and related equipment. The role involves interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine root causes. Performing complex troubleshooting and repairs, including the replacement or fabrication of components using on-site machining and maintenance equipment. Utilizing precision measuring tools, testing devices, and system analysis to ensure accurate and efficient resolution of equipment issues. Developing detailed specifications, measurements, and documentation for outsourced parts and services. Coordinating repairs and maintenance activities with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality and timeliness. Assisting in the installation, relocation, and commissioning of production equipment, ensuring proper infrastructure, alignment, and system integration. Working both independently and collaboratively to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support production goals. Supporting facility and infrastructure modifications by delivering effective maintenance and engineering solutions. Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards, including those governing power systems and environmental conditions. Maintaining flexibility to work scheduled shifts and participate in an on-call rotation to address emergency maintenance needs. Effectively prioritizing tasks based on safety, production demands, and project timelines. Staying current with evolving technologies, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

• High School degree or GED
• 5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance (Mechanic) in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude & troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Good computer skills with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel & Outlook email.
• Must be a team player and positive in all interactions at all levels of the organization.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Able to give & follow verbal & written instructions, including blueprints & schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and great attention to detail.
• Ability to read measuring devices such as Micrometers, Calipers, Dial Indicators, etc.
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice.
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities & work well under the pressure of deadlines.
• Prior certification operating Forklifts (Sit-down, Stand-up, Aerial Lifts, etc.)
• Must have flexibility to learn and use new technology.
• Good experience with machine installation and rigging.
• Skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and material handling devices.
• Demonstrates strong drive to learn new Printing equipment, determination, and initiative with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues.
• Takes ownership of tasks in support of the overall team.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 60 lbs. regularly.
• Must have excellent attendance record.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational or Technical School degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanic, Electrical or HVAC, and/or related field.
• Experience in mechatronics, robotics and industrial automation systems, including troubleshooting, integration, and optimization of automated equipment.
• Exposure & knowledge of lean manufacturing processes.
• Experience using a Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders.
• Maintenance experience in a Printing environment (Yearbook or Commercial printing).
