About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our night-shift manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve production and facility equipment to support safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This night-shift position requires a strong combination of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. We highly prefer candidates who qualify at the Maintenance Mechanic III level, but experienced Mechanic II candidates may also be considered based on their overall skills and background.

Requirements

At least 3 years of industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or comparable experience
Experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot moderately complex equipment problems
Electrical troubleshooting experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Ability to read blueprints, maintenance manuals, and mechanical and electrical schematics
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, bearings, conveyors, and production equipment
Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment
Working knowledge of automated controls and production machinery
Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs to support production schedules
Ability to operate powered industrial trucks, hoists, and cranes and maintain required certifications
English-language proficiency sufficient for safety training, quality communications, and ongoing job instruction
Candidates with 5 or more years of industrial maintenance experience and advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills may be considered for a Maintenance Mechanic III opportunity.

Nice To Haves

Experience maintaining equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment
Experience in paper manufacturing, paper converting, plastics processing, packaging, chemical processing, food manufacturing, or another high-volume production environment
Experience troubleshooting conveyors, motors, automated production equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and PLC-controlled equipment
Experience with industrial electrical systems, VFDs, servo drives, robotics, and automation controls
Experience with SAP PM, a CMMS, or another maintenance work-order system
Technical degree or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Industrial Electricity, Automation Controls, Robotics, Machine Tool Technology, or a related field
Plastics manufacturing experience is welcome but is not required. Candidates with transferable industrial maintenance experience, particularly in paper manufacturing or another high-volume manufacturing environment, are encouraged to apply. The hiring team specifically confirmed that paper manufacturing experience can transfer effectively to this operation.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment
Identify and resolve both mechanical and electrical equipment issues
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability
Respond to equipment breakdowns and support production recovery
Assist with equipment installations, modifications, changeovers, and rebuilds
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems
Inspect and test machinery, motors, programmable controllers, and automated equipment
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, parts documentation, and maintenance logs
Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, production, and efficiency
Operate powered industrial equipment, hoists, cranes, and aerial lifts as required
Collaborate with production employees to identify and resolve equipment problems
Train and mentor less-experienced maintenance mechanics as needed
