About The Position
Join Can-One USA, a global leader in aluminum beverage can manufacturing, as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic specializing in Front End Equipment on the 3rd Shift. This role is crucial for maintaining the high-speed equipment essential for world-class production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining critical machinery at the beginning of the aluminum can manufacturing process, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Technical certification, vocational training, or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or a related field
- Experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment
- Experience performing equipment rebuilds and precision mechanical repairs
- Machine shop experience
Responsibilities
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing front-end production equipment
- Servicing cuppers, body makers, trimmers, coil handling systems, and related machinery
- Performing equipment tear-downs, rebuilds, and precision reassembly
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and implementing effective repair solutions
- Completing preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability
- Using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
- Reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Operating machine shop equipment such as lathes, presses, and grinders when needed
- Assisting with machine adjustments and continuous improvement initiatives
- Following all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area
