The Maintenance Manager Position Summary: This position has the responsibility to lead the maintenance program for the Brownsville Plant.

Requirements

  • Technical degree or equivalent industry experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management systems
  • PLC knowledge a plus
  • Situational leadership
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Time Based/Condition Based maintenance routine development
  • Experience with Predictive maintenance tools such as Vibration Monitoring, Thermography and Oil sampling
  • Ability to multitask
  • Analytical thinking and outstanding RCA skills
  • Solid Project planning & implementation skillset
  • Office and ERP system experience is preferred (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sage)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing/implementation/managing TPM programs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensures safety of Lignetics and contract personnel through use of best safety practices (LOTO, confined space, electrical safety, Safety Concern Forms, incident investigation, etc.)
  • Implements a maintenance program based on a solid strategy, hiring and retaining great people, and providing their team members with the tools to significantly reduce unplanned stops at the plant.
  • Develops a team of craftsmen and a planner.
  • Manages the implementation and operation of the sites CMMS (MVP), including the equipment module, work order module, stores module, and PM module.
  • Supports the planner in the kitting and planning process for both planned and opportunity maintenance.
  • Maintains the stores systems and ensures parts are on hand as needed.
  • Develops capital appropriation requests by consulting, obtaining bids, and working closely with outside contractors.
  • Manages and participates in the rebuild or repair of pellet mills, conveyors, screws, gearboxes, and gearboxes using hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Drives improvement in all maintenance systems by learning and supporting the Maintenance Excellence program.
  • Provides regular reports to the Plant Manager regarding safety and maintenance concerns and projects.
  • Participates in employee performance management, hiring, disciplinary actions, and annual/development reviews.
  • Stands in for the Plant Manager in their absence.
