About The Position

Steel Dynamics’ New Millennium Building Systems platform is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Electrician to support our advanced manufacturing operations. In this role, you will help keep our production lines running safely and efficiently by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electrical systems and equipment.

Requirements

• Proven electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial or manufacturing setting
• Ability to read and understand schematics and technical diagrams
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment
• Willingness to work night shift and occasional crossover between shifts
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs
• Previous work with overhead cranes and industrial automation systems

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, controls, PLCs, and motor drives in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Work with and maintain equipment such as overhead cranes, safety scanners, and light curtains
• Read and interpret schematics, ladder logic, and PLC programs
• Perform 480V three-phase wiring, low-voltage wiring, and other electrical work
• Support a strong safety culture by following all electrical and lockout/tagout procedures
