About The Position

McWane Ductile – Ohio is a world-class manufacturer of ductile iron pipe and poles in a heavy industrial setting. We have been in operation since 1926 and are located in Coshocton, Ohio. This role involves planning daily job duties, working with others on scheduled repair work, and reading/understanding written instructions like operation manuals and LOTO instructions to ensure safe work practices. The position requires the use of hand or power tools and equipment to lift, hoist, and move parts and plant equipment with skill, care, and dexterity. The employee must be able to handle heavy materials and work in restricted areas, utilizing voltage, amperage, and ohm meters to troubleshoot equipment. The job involves working with electrical materials throughout the plant, including all departments, and utilizing all necessary electrical tools and meters such as electrical voltmeters, meggers, conduit benders, drills, and hand tools. Safety adherence to all plant policies and procedures, including wearing FR rated clothing and special gloves for Arc Flash Category 1-4 per NFPA 70E, is mandatory. Selected candidates may work in areas with molten iron, conveying and pipe finishing systems, and associated equipment.

Requirements

  • Experience in installation and troubleshooting voltages circuits ranging from 24V ac/dc - 480 VAC.
  • Previous experience working with and troubleshooting PLC and VFDs.
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Experience with equipment installation with knowledge of panel building and conduit bending.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician OR have obtained an Associates Degree in Electrical Technologies or equivalent.
