About The Position

Weyerhaeuser is seeking applicants for an apprenticeship opportunity at their Magnolia, MS lumber manufacturing facility. This is an apprenticeship in the Industrial Maintenance Technology area of study, in partnership with Southwest MS Community College. This is an excellent professional development opportunity.

Requirements

Accepted into SMCC Workforce Training Industrial Maintenance Apprenticeship
Applied for Fall 2026 admission into the Associate of Industrial Maintenance Technology program of study
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be scheduled to complete high school studies and graduate on or before June 1, 2026
Must be able to commit to working onsite a minimum of 40 hours per week
Must be able to commit to attending classes at the SMCC campus two days per week
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment.
Problem solving skills.
High level of initiative and motivation
Ability to pass pre-employment requirements including drug screen and background check
Proficient in MS Office
Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

Prior work experience within a manufacturing/industrial setting
Moderate mechanical aptitude
