About The Position

This is a part-time adjunct faculty position at Chattahoochee Technical College, based on a semester system. The instructor will report to the Associated Dean of Computers, Manufacturing and Engineering. The primary responsibility is to provide instruction and guidance to prepare students with the technical competencies essential for the industrial maintenance industry. This includes performing all aspects of instruction for the Industrial Maintenance and Electrical Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) and/or Degree/Diploma program. Duties involve lecture, lab work, instructional activities, student advisement, evaluating student progress, maintaining required documentation, supervising lab setup/takedown, and ensuring lab safety. Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time and appointed on a per academic term basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the term.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an Associate degree in Industrial Electrical, Electronics or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Applicant must meet the minimum requirements before scheduling an interview.
  • Applicant is responsible for ensuring official/unofficial transcripts are on Ga@Work.
  • Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • Industry experience in industrial maintenance, electrical or electronic technology.

Responsibilities

  • Providing guidance and instruction necessary to prepare students with the technical competencies essential for the industrial maintenance industry.
  • Performing all aspects of instruction as an adjunct instructor for the Industrial Maintenance and Electrical Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) and/or Degree/Diploma program.
  • Conducting lecture and lab sessions.
  • Facilitating instructional activities.
  • Providing student advisement.
  • Evaluating students’ progress.
  • Maintaining all required documentation.
  • Performing and/or supervising lab set up/take down.
  • Ensuring lab safety requirements are met.
  • Performing other duties as defined by The Technical College System of Georgia.
