About The Position

Madden Industrial Craftsmen has a well-established client that needs to add an industrial laborer to their dynamic team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity to join this union shop. Pay is DOE starting at $23.97 and going up to $27.15.

Requirements

Operation of mobile equipment (including, but not limited to, forklifts, front-end loaders, and material handlers) in safe, efficient and professional manner.
Operate stationary equipment including but not limited to baler, shears, pucker/shredder, and chopping line.
One to two years related of experience and/or training in a warehouse or industrial environment.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

Past metal recycling experience
Metal identification skills
Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

Interacts with others in a professional and positive manner and displays good customer service skills.
Accurately sorts, weighs, and receives in-coming metal, whether from dealer, industrial, or retail accounts, as assigned.
Responsible for safely torch cutting and shearing of metal.
Maintains clean work-space at shift conclusion or after completing a project.
Demonstrates good safety habits and follows all company safety rules.
Performs tasks assigned by Operations Manager, Assistant Warehouse Manager, Truck Scale Coordinator, or Senior Employee’s.
Follows the guidelines of the employee union.
Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
Displays good communication skills required in working with customers and coworkers, including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
