About The Position

The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department is seeking qualified individuals to join their team as an Industrial Electrician in the Well Fields. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical systems and equipment that support water treatment plant operations and associated infrastructure, including process-controlled industrial equipment. The Utilities Division is responsible for operating and maintaining the City's water treatment plant, 32 water wells, and 19 booster station facilities, as well as wastewater and reclaimed water infrastructure. They treat over 64 million gallons of fresh water and over 30 million gallons of wastewater per day.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalency
  • Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program
  • 3 years of journey-level electrician experience
  • A Journeyman Electrician Certification upon hire or promotion
  • A valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
